For as long as I’ve been running this site, my process for getting photos up and distributing them to the various social media networks that I take part in has always been a tedious process. And it’s been tedious mostly because I haven’t paid enough attention to the features and functionality of software I have at my disposal. Yesterday, I discovered a few rather awesome features. By embedding tags, descriptions, and titles within the IPTC data itself in photos, the process for uploading photos (specifically in bulk) is a much, much, MUCH simpler process. AND I learned that Flickr’s Uploadr tool reads that same set of data! Woohoo!!! (Additional note: WordPress ALSO recognizes the title tag in the IPTC data when uploading media. Cool.)
As a result of all of this, I have made massive updates within the Girls of Ipanemic gallery. It’s still a lot of work, but the time it takes to post updates has significantly decreased. Significantly.
In addition to adding about 100 items to Anastasia’s Catholic School Girl Revisited set (of which there are about 150 more left to add) (done), I’ve completely filled out the Britney Stripped set. Yay!
Please note that in order to see a lot of both of those sets, you’ll need to register and log in (registration is free, of course) and set your viewing preferences appropriately within your profile.
Enjoy!
How exactly does one go about registering/logging in? Apparently I have an account and am logged in on both http://www.ipanemic.com and models.ipanemic.com but the pictures are still blocked for me.
