I’ve been working with interior photography for quite a while now, and that’s why I want to share some tips that I found to make your life a lot easier. When you first get started, you are going to have some issues if you have a bad setup. The first order of business is to actually have a camera that is meant for this kind of work. It does you no good to have one that is not built for this like a phone or camera that’s disposable and not really going to give you good quality. There’s a guy I know that goes to the same restaurant as me that does Minneapolis gutters, and he says his boss gave him a raise because he took photos of all his finished gutter jobs. Sometimes it pays to think ahead!
After you get the right equipment you should also use software to clean up problems or to just crop out what you don’t really need to have in your photos. A lot of software options will cost you, but if you plan to do this kind of work then it is much better to get what the pros use and learn it than it is to use basic filters from online software. The more cautious you are with this the better of a chance you have to make sure that you get the right photos taken any time you need to.
