Beach Scooter!!! – Located at 1341 Washington Ave on the beach. For ALLLL of your scooter needs. This is actually where I bought Scooter. The staff there is fantastic, friendly, and helpful. Anytime that I’ve ever needed anything, whether it’s just oil or service, they’ve been there for me, including providing help over the phone last year the few times I had issues while crossing the country on Scooter. Great, great business.
La Sandwicherie – A quaint French-owned sandwich shop, with only a bar to sit at, located at 229 14th Street (between Washington and Collins). Hands down, THE best sandwiches on the beach. I personally love their chicken salad although I have yet to eat anything on their menu that I don’t love. They also have really delicious smoothies. Friendly people and great, great food. Oh, and hey… I deliver for them on Scooter. So order from them and I could be the guy that brings you lunch! 
Gusman Center for the Performing Arts – a magnificently beautiful building on the inside, I had the great pleasure of watching Youssou N’Dour perform here nearly three years ago. Phenomenal experience. Beautiful, beautiful venue, it’s pure magic on the inside.
Lush – a small locals bar on the beach with a nice selection of beer, priced for the local. A pool table, a beer pong table(!), and a jukebox with bar music rounds out the atmosphere. Highly recommend. Located on 13th between Collins and Washington Ave on the north side.
